A presentation by the Italian F.A. to Gino Colaussi, the 1938 World Cup winning footballer, in the form of an Italian white metal fruit dish inscribed F.I.G.C., diameter 26cm., 10 1/4in. footnote Each member of the Italian 1938 World Cup winning team received such a dish at a special ceremony in Rome conducted by Mussolini. Gino Colaussi made 26 international appearances between 1935 & 1940 & scored 15 goals. This including him netting a brace in the 4-2 win over Hungary in the 1938 World Cup final in Paris.
