Footnote: The closest Christine came to another Wimbledon final was at the 1965 Championships where her progress was ended at the semi-final stage by the Australian Margaret Smith. In the earlier rounds, victories were recorded over Lazzarion (ITA), Graebner (USA), Tegart (Australia) & Heldman and Richey of the USA.
