OF IRELAND, 1957; sold with an incomplete copy of the match programme (2) This jersey was gained as a swap by Everton & Ireland's Don Donovan who had the task of marking England's Finney during this World Cup qualifier played at Wembley on 8th May 1957. England won the game 5-1, with Manchester United's Tommy Taylor scoring a hat-trick. Finney was an enourmously influential figure in this game. The Preston North End player was involved in the build up to four of the England goals. Sir Tom Finney won a total of 76 international caps between seasons 1946-47 and 1958-59.
