The autographs of the England players from the controversial continental tour of 1938, a sheet of Hotel Ambassador (Paris) notepaper signed in ink by Whittaker (trainer) and fourteen players including Matthews, Sproston, Hapgood, Bastin, Cullis, Woodley, Willingham, Welsh, Young, Broome, Goulden etc. Having been forced to give the Nazi salute before the match, England defeated Germany 6-3 in the Olympic Stadium, Berlin. The other matches on the tour in May 1938 were against France in Paris and Switzerland in Zurich.
