A presentation to Muhammad Ali in Birmingham in 1979, formed with a timber backboard set with a main copper shield portraying a boxing match together with various plaques, medals, badges, boxing figures, the coat of arms of Birmingham, and an enamel Union flag, inscribed WELCOME TO BIRMINGHAM, PRESENTED ON BEHALF OF ALL YOUR BRITISH FANS 1979, THE GREATEST BOXER OF ALL TIME, MUHAMMAD ALI, the timber backboard was once signed and dedicated by Ali but now very faded, mounted in a glass-fronted display case, 74 by 39cm., 29 by 15 1/4in.
