A 9ct. gold Football League Division Four Championship medal, inscribed THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE, CHAMPIONS, DIVISION 4, SEASON 1959-60, in original fitted case Chesterfield were crowned Division Four champions in 1959-60 with a total of 64 points, three ahead of runners-up Wrexham. appendix: Alan Stevenson (lots 183 to 194) Alan Stevenson began his career at Chesterfield before spending the majority of his long career at Burnley. He later played for Rotherham and Hartlepool and made well in excess of 620 Football League Appearances. The goalkeeper was also an England under-23 international.
