A German porcelain group of two footballers 1930, finely modelled as two players battling for the ball, decorated in striped shirts and black shorts, possibly representing Argentina, the base inscribed 1830 Uruguay 1930, height 15cm., 6in. There is evidence of the stripes of the players jerseys originally being blue, with much of the decoration now lost, revealing the underglaze colour. Therefore It is possible that the figures were intended to represent Argentina.
