Hughes Esq, in recognition of valuable service rendered by him in connection with the Association's Tour to South Africa, May-July 1939, height of bowl 12.5cm., 5in.; sold together with a silver cup trophy, hallmark indistinct, engraved with the Arms of the Cheshire Football Association and inscribed C.F.A., 1878 -1928, H.H. Hughes, on turned wood base, height of trophy 18cm., 7in. (4) The cup trophy sold in this lot celebrates the C.F.A.'s Golden Jubilee.
