A collection of thirty postcards relating to Uruguay and the 1924 and 1928 Olympic Games, comprising: three decorative colour postcards portraying athletes, two relating to Paris 1924, the other Amsterdam 1928, the reverse of a 1924 card autographed by a number of Uruguayan Olympic boxers, including Miguez, Esmoris and Garcia, another card sent by the Uruguayan boxer Liberto Corney; the lot also containing a set of eleven postcards each with a printed caricature of the Uruguayan 1924 Olympic football champion players, two black and white postcards portraying the Uruguayan 1924 champion football team; a set of nine postcards, issued by Cigarrillos Guerrillero portraying Uruguay and the 1928 Olympic football champions; and other miscellaneous cards including a card depicting the 1928 Olympic Gold medal winner Alvaro Gestido of Penarol; sold together with a philatelic cover commemorating the Uruguayan 1924 Olympic football champions from a limited edition of 500, three Uruguayan postage stamps in a presentation brochure, the cover inscribed administracion general de carreos, telegrafos y telefonos, the interior inscribed homenaje del carrea del uruguay a los campeones mundiales de foot-ball, montevideo, 31 de julio de 1924, with COA (32)
