A silver plated desk set circa 1880s, with two hinged models of tennis ball as ink pots and crossed flat-topped racquets acting as a pen holder, posts and netting to the rear forming a letter holder, all mounted on a oak base, later employed as a lawn tennis trophy in 1930, and set with a silvered metal plaque engraved with details of the winner and the tournament, length 33cm., 13in.
