An early original team-group photograph of Woolwich Arsenal FC, the image 8 by 13cm., 3 by 5in., mounted, framed & glazed; sold together with a printed photograph of the Woolwich Arsenal team published in The People's Sporting Gallery, mounted, overall 37 by 42cm., 14 1/2 by 16 1/2in. (2) A previous owner has added a legend to the mount that pronounces this to be the earliest known original photograph of Woolwich Arsenal FC. Although indeed a very early image, the auctioneer is unable to confirm this claim.
