That’s a wrap! We've reached the end of the auction and we’re busy tying up final bids behind the scenes. Thanks for being part of it — we’ll be in touch soon.

Stan Mortensen's England cap for the Festival of Britain international v Argentina at Wembley in 1951, the blue velvet cap inscribed V ARGENTINE, 1951, lacking original silver thread tassel The above match was played on the 9th May 1951 as part of the Festival of Britain celebrations, and with the exception of wartime internationals, Argentina became the first country other than Scotland to play at Wembley. England overturned a half-time deficit to win 2-1. The Blackpool forward headed the equaliser. This cap was formerly the property of Mr Bob Morans, the Blackpool FC Chairman (29th October 1980 to 14th July 1981), from whom it was subsequently obtained by the present vendor.
