A group of four photographs relating to Colonel William Hall Walker, comprising: a portrait of the Colonel on horseback jumping a hedge at Melton Mowbray, with manuscript dedication dated 8th October 1894; a portrait group of Hall-Walker's racing manager Jock Fergusson seen with two other racing personalities, a Clarence Hailey of Newmarket portrait of his Gimcrack winner 'Polar Star' (see lot 54) standing at Stud in Argentina in 1909; and a photographic portrait print after Adrian Jones of 'Desert Chief', all mounted, framed & glazed, similar sizes, the largest 43 by 54cm., 17 by 21in.; together win an engraved portrait of the Colonel in his younger days, the mount signed Yours Truly W Hall Walker (5)
