1967 Eifelrennen engraved F2 race winner's trophy awarded to Jochen Rindt, an oval fruit basket design in continental silver marked 800, with rose and cartouche decoration, one engraved: 30 INT ADAC EIFEL-RENNEN 23.4.67, the inner base decorated with a relief of puti in a landscape and engraved: EHRENPREIS DES MINISTERPRASIDENTEN DES LANDES RHEINLAND PFALZ, 22 by 29cm.; sold with a copy of Motoring News carrying a front page story of Rindt's Eifelrennen win (2) Despite not winning his first Grand Prix until 1969, Jochen Rindt proved almost unbeatable in Formula 2 from moment he first burst upon the scene at Crystal Palace in 1964. During 1967 he would take 9 wins and 4 second-places from 15 F2 starts, including this one on the south circuit at the Nurburgring clad in deep snow!
