That’s a wrap! We've reached the end of the auction and we’re busy tying up final bids behind the scenes. Thanks for being part of it — we’ll be in touch soon.

Fred & Nellie Archer's coloured oleograph of ''The Meet of the Royal Buckhounds'' after Havell, in a gilt mounted picture frame, 56 by 84cm., 22 by 33in. This picture is mentioned in detail on p.210 of The Life of Fred Archer by E.M. Humphris, published by Hutchinson in 1923., and hung in the morning/breakfast room at Falmouth House, Newmarket. Lady Maria Coventry (1931- 2007), who was shown this picture by the current vendor, believed it had been a wedding present from the 9th Earl of Coventry to Fred Archer, who in the winter hunted with the Royal Buckhounds. A copy of Humphris's book is sold in this lot.
