A pair of bronze medals commemorating the boxing match of Thomas Johnson and Isaac Perrins in 1789, one struck with a named portrait of Johnson, the other of Perrins, both dated 1789 and inscribed with the Latin motto BELLA!, HORRIDA, BELLA! [WAR!, HORRID WAR!], the Johnson medal additionally inscribed SCIENCE AND INTREPIDITY, the Perrins medal inscribed STRENGTH AND MAGNANIMITY; sold together with a coloured re-strike of the print drawn by Metz and engraved by Grozer featuring the Johnson v Perrins fight at Banbury 22nd October 1789 (3)
