A racing plate worn by Red Rum when winning the Scottish Grand National at Ayr in 1974, mounted on a wooden backboard and set with a brass plaque inscribed RED RUM, 1973 GRAND NATIONAL, 1974 GRAMD NATIONAL, 1974 SCOTTISH GRAND NATIONAL; sold together with a signed letter of authenticity from the great nephew of Red Rum's owner Mr Noel Le Mare; the lot also including a red, white & blue parade sash worn by Red Rum during his many engagements after his retirement from racing, inscribed TRIPLE GRAND NATIONAL WINNER, 1973 - 1974 - 1977 (3)
