An official photograph of the 1929 Rugby Union County Championship finalist teams of Lancashire and Middlesex, the two teams posing intermingled for the formal portrait group, printed legends to upper and lower margins, mounted, framed & glazed, 41 by 51cm., 16 by 20in. Evidently the two teams were very equally matched. The final at Twickenham on 9th March 1929 ended as an 8-8 draw. The replay was played at Blundellsands on 20th March with Middlesex just edging the game by 9 points to 8 points.
