The extraordinary North Korea team, who had already recorded a shock defeat over Italy in the group stages, raced to a 3-0 lead in the first 22 minutes. The Portuguese, however, were inspired by the sensational Eusebio who scored four goals and set up the other as Portugal won a truly memorable game 5-3 to set up a semi-final berth with hosts England. not illustrated
