Four pre-war West Bromwich Albion programmes, comprising: Reading 30.3.1929, Barnsley 26.12.30, Charlton Athletic 2.5.1931 & Derby County 10.9.32; sold together with The F.A. Cup Annual 1885-1934, blue cover edition (5) The 1931 Charlton Athletic programme in this lot relates to the end of a memorable season for West Brom. Just a week before this final match of the season Albion defeated Birmingham City to win the FA Cup, they followed this up with a win on the Thursday away at Stoke in the League. This left them only a point clear of Tottenham in second place in Division II. Only a win would guarantee them promotion. They ended up winning 3-2 and achieving the unique double of promotion and Cup winners in the same season.
