An autographed 1930s manuscript letter from Dixie Dean, sent from C/o Everton FC, Walton, Liverpool, on lined paper, written in the hand of Dixie Dean in black ink reading: DEAR SIR, IN REPLY TO YOUR LETTER REGARDING FOOTBALL IF IT WOULD BE CONVENIENT FOR YOU TO WRITE THEM OUT WITHOUT MY ASSISTANCE IT WILL BE ALRIGHT IF NOT I WILL WRITE A FEW LINES, I AM, YOURS TRULY, Wm. DEAN; sold together with a page removed from an autograph book bearing the signature of Dixie Dean (2) In formal correspondence, Dean signed his name Wm. Dean; whist for fans he signed Dixie Dean.
