The jockey's prize for the Black Opal Preview ran at Canberra in 1995, in the form of a glass world clock, the outer dial displaying time differences for major world cities, inscribed A.C.T. RACING CLUB, 1955 PRIME T.V., BLACK OPAL PREVIEW 1200m, WINNING JOCKEY, 25.5cm., 10in. high Lester Piggott won The Preview aboard the K T Connolly-trained Zadok by 5 3/4 lengths, with the pair then going on to win the Black Opal itself by three quarters of a length. The Black Opal is one of the most prestigious two-year-old races in the Australian Racing calendar.
