Enquire nowA butler's tray showing a hand-tinted steel engraving of a gentlemen's game of battledore and shuttlecock circa 1830, the tray has two bands of brass stringing, underneath the glass tray surface the plain cream silk ground has been applied in a decorative pattern with hundreds of gold coloured sequins, length 28cm., 11in.; sold together with a fine 'Buck Pattern' plate circa 1840 with black transfer printed decoration showing a mother & daughter wielding battledores while the child also holds a shuttlecock in the air, excellent condition, diameter 19cm., 7 1/2in.
