Photographs and autographs relating to 1950s Scotland v England international matches, comprising: nine privately taken and previously unseen photographs of the England football team training at Ayr United's Somerset Park ground 2nd April 1954 ahead of the Scotland match, 3 by 2 1/4in. b&w, including images of Gil Merrick, Tom Finney, Billy Wright, Ken Armstrong, Jimmy Dickinson, Ivor Broadis, Harry Clarke and trainer Jimmy Trotter; sold together with a Hampden Park match ticket for the game, the front signed by manager Walter Winterbottom and trainer Jimmy Trotter, the reverse signed by the England team, Merrick, Staniforth, Byrne, Wright, Clarke, Dickinson, Finney, Broadis, Allen, Nicholls & Mullen; the lot also including a similar signed ticket for the 1952 Hampden Park England international, again signed by Winterbotton & Trotter, and the players Merrick, Ramsey, Garrett, Wright, Froggatt, Dickinson, Finney, Broadis, Lofthouse, Pearson & Rowley (11)
