Noel Cantwell's debut Republic of Ireland international cap awarded for his appearance in the World Cup qualifier v Luexembourg in Dublin 28th October 1953, the green cap inscribed IRELAND V LUXEMBOURG (DUBLIN), 1953-54 Noel Cantwell was a West Ham United player at the time of his Republic of Ireland international debut in 1953, having arrived at Upton Park in 1952 from Cork Athletic. The full-back won a total of 36 caps between 1953 and 1967. At club level he transferred to Manchester United in 1960.
