A superb cased miniature replica of the Intercontinental Cup commemorating the victory of Internazionale over Independiente in 1965, by Oscar of Milano, silver & gold plate, inscribed COUPE INTERCONTINENTALE, set on a green marble base set with enamel crests of Inter, UEFA & CONMEBOL, leather case with silk & velvet lining, the trophy 11.5cm., 4 1/2in. high For the second season running, the Intercontinental Cup was contested between Internazionale of Italy and Independiente of Argentina. Inter won their home leg 3-0 and held the Argentines to a goalless draw at La Doble Visera to lift the trophy once again.
