An unusual tack room wall-mounted hook featuring a head & neck sculpture of Grand Parade the 1919 Derby winner, oak backboard with arched top, sculpture set into a brass surround inscribed GRAND PARADE, DERBY WINNER 1919, tack hook beneath, 38cm., 15in. The 1919 Derby winner Grand Parade was owned by Lord Glanely and at odds of 33-1 was very much his second string at Epsom. The black colt was trained by Frank Barling and ridden by Fred Templeman.
