A signed carte-de-visite of the England rugby full back Henry Barrington Tristram (1861-1946), signature in ink to lower margin, mounted in a picture frame together with printed information regarding Tristram's sporting career, overall 33 by 24cm., 13 by 9 1/2in. Henry Tristram played five times for England, winning four matches, drawing one, 1883-1884 v. Scotland, 1884-1885 v. Wales, 1887 v. Scotland. He also played for Winchester College, Loretto School, Oxford and Durham University, and also cricket for Oxford University and Durham CCC.
