Alan Jarvis: a red Wales No.4 jersey worn in the Amateur International v England played at Brighton & Hove Albion 5th November 1960, long-sleeved, the badge inscribed AMATEUR v ENGLAND 1960-61 This jersey was a gained as a swap by Chelsea and England's Jim Lewis. England won this amateur international 6-1. Alan Jarvis was born in Wrexham 4th August 1943 and was a 17-year-old when playing in this England game. His team is described in the record books as Grove Park Grammar School (Wrexham), where he was still studying for his A-levels. Jarvis, an inside forward, did later turn pro and played for Hull City and won three senior Welsh caps for his appearances in all three games of the 1966-67 Home International Championship.
