A sepia-toned photographic cabinet card portrait of the Irish-American Heavyweight Boxing Champion James J. Corbett signed by the subject in 1896 during his reign as champion, a good ink signature to the upper margin dated 21st January 1896 (champion 1892 to 1897), Corbett has also signed the reverse of the card, published by Elmer Chickering of Boston, bottom right hand corner heavily creased, but otherwise good
