A signed manuscript letter from the English cricketer W.G. Grace, dated 27th May 1906, 2 pages in black ink on London County Cricket Club headed paper, addressed to his friend Herbert Gibbs and announcing his attention to go beagling on the coming Saturday; sold with a photocopy of a newspaper where this letter was reproduced as part of an article written by Herbert Gibbs's son, published 16th May 1961 (2) The following lot is a letter to Herbert Gibbs from W G Grace's elder brother Edward Mills Grace, who also played First Class Cricket for Gloucestershire and played in one Test Match for England. Grace elder is a far rarer signature.
