A 9ct. gold F.A. Amateur Cup runners-up medal season 1910-11, inscribed THE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION AMATEUR CUP, RUNNERS-UP The 1911 F.A. Amateur Cup final was played at Herne Hill and Bishop Auckland were defeated 1-0 by Bromley. Although unengraved, the vendor believes that this medal was presented to the Bishop Auckland captain Dick Healey. The north-east team's progress to the final was eventful. Having lost their 2nd round tie at Rotherham Amateurs, they successfully lodged a protest that the Yorkshire team's pitch was short of regulation length to force a home played replay with Bishop Auckland won 4-1.
