Milan & Rome, visible image 98 by 68cm., 38 1/2 by 26 3/4in., mounted, framed & glazed, very good condition The design for this poster was fiercely contested with 212 artists submitting 249 designs. The winning artist Armando Testa was from Turin who produced a modern interpretation of the Belvedere Capital including the she-wolf suckling Romulus & Remus, whilst the capital itself portrays the crowning of a victorious athlete.
