A 1908-09 Gloucestershire Football Association Senior Cup winner's medal awarded to Harry Clay of Bristol City, 9ct. gold & enamel, inscribed GLOUCESTERSHIRE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION, SENIOR CUP, 1908-9, WINNERS, BRISTOL CITY F.C., H.CLAY The Gloucestershire Senior Cup was created by Charles Lacy-Sweet of Clifton Association FC and first competed for as a knockout competition in season 1887-88. However, from 1907-08 it became an annual match between the first teams of Bristol City and Bristol Rovers.
