This jersey is from the 1990-91 season when Marseille progressed to the European Cup final where they lost on penalties to Red Star Belgrade. Chris Waddle had a highly successful period at Marseille helping them to three successive French League titles between 1990 and 1992. In a poll during their centenary year Waddle was voted the second best Marseille player of the century behind Jean Pierre Papin.
