Wright played in the match as a 70th minute substitution for Nigel Clough during the 2-1 defeat. Christian Worns was an unused substitute. The German sweeper won a total of 66 German international caps between 1992 and 2005. His Club teams were Waldhof Mannheim, Bayer Leverkusen, Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund, where he won a Bundesliga title in 2001-02.
