A competitor's badge and a participation medal from the 1908 London Olympic Games, the badge in white metal & enamel with the head of Athena, dark blue enamel band inscribed OLYMPIC GAMES, LONDON, 1908, COMPETITOR, the reverse stamped with the competitor's number 1736; the participation medal by Vaughton in white metal, designed by Bertram Mackennal with a winged figure of victory, and a quadriga winning a chariot race; sold together with an AAA Championship medal, 2nd prize for the quarter mile, held at Stamford Bridge, 3rd July 1909; the badge & medals have been housed in a custom made display case
