A Helsinki 1952 Olympic Games participation medal, designed by K Rasanen, obverse with a stylised athlete's head over a stadium the reverse with male and female athletes holding torches above Olympic Rings; sold together with a group of letters containing autographs of Olympic officials in 1952, the letters being replies from various national Olympic Associations replying to a Mr Antonio Tholossinos of South Melbourne, Australia, who had been requesting free copies of their official reports to be sent to him, the replies being unsurprisingly polite declines
