That’s a wrap! We've reached the end of the auction and we’re busy tying up final bids behind the scenes. Thanks for being part of it — we’ll be in touch soon.

An athletics relay baton used at the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games, VERY RARE SURVIVAL: varnished wood, printed maker's mark for Berg, inscribed Olympia-Gerat above the Games bell insignia, length 30cm., 11 3/4in. This baton belonged to the German sprinter Erwin Gillmeister who won a bronze medal as part of the 4 x 100m team at the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games. He successfully determined to keep the baton as a souvenir of the occasion despite the attempts of an official to retrieve it after the race.
