Bill Beaumont's match-worn England No.5 international shirt from the Test Match v New Zealand played at Twickenham 25th November 1978, with embroidered rose emblem, the inside collar autographed by the All Black Andy Haden and dated 1978; sold together with a programme and ticket for the match, a small framed photograph of Beaumont in action for England, and a signed copy of his autobiography 'Thanks to Rugby' (5) This shirt was gained as a swap by New Zealand's And Haden following his team's 16-6 victory in the 1978 Twickenham Test Match. Bill Beaumont was the England captain for this match. the Fylde lock won a total of 34 international caps between 1975 and 1982 and led England to an unexpected Grand Slam in 1980, their first for 23 years. He also appeared 7 times for the Lions and skippered the team on the 1980 Tour of South Africa, becoming the first Lions captain from England since Doug Prentice 50 years beforehand.
