Joe Smith's red & blue Football Association Tour of Canada representative cap 1926, wirework and silk crest inscribed ENGLAND, CANADA and with a design incorporating F.A. monogram, rose and lions, dated 1926 Bolton Wanderers's Joe Smith is 10th in the all time list of England top-flight League goalscorers, netting 243 times. In an illustrious career who won two F.A. Cup winner's medals, and later as a manager guided Blackpool to their famous Cup win in 1953. Despite his incredible goalscoring record Smith won just 5 England caps either side of the First World War. The Tour of Canada, for which this cap was awarded, is not considered to have been at full international level.
