A set of three golf balls used by the Prince of Wales (later King Edward VIII, later the Duke of Windsor) on a visit to White Sulphur Springs Golf Course, West Virginia, in October 1919, a red and a white Spalding 50, and a black Spalding 40, set on a wooden display stand with plaque engraved PRESENTED TO SIR JOHN C. EATON BY PRO. CLARKE, WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS GC, THE ABOVE WERE USED BY H.R.H. THE PRINCE OF WALES AT WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, OCTOBER 1919, length 19cm., 7 1.2in. The Prince of Wales toured Canada and the USA in the autumn of 1919 and during a break from official duties enjoyed a short golfing holiday at White Sulphur Springs GC, West Virginia, staying at the Greenbrier Hotel.
