HOCKLEY, 11st NOVICES OPEN COMPETITION, ALEXANDRA PALACE, JULY 1942; ii) a silver goblet inscribed J.W. HOCKLEY, AMATEUR BOXING ASSOCIATION, WAR-TIME CHAMPIONSHIP, 1944, 11st. 6lb. WINNER; iii) a small silver cup inscribed J.W.P. HOCKLEY, LANGHAM B.C.; iv) an EPNS goblet inscribed LONDON v S. COUNTIES A.B.A. CHAMPIONSHIPS, 1944, WINNER, J.W.P. HOCKLEY; v) a miniature EPNS two-handled cup inscribed ST. JOHN'S (HENDON) B.C., 1924 (probably awarded to an older relation); vi) a pewter tankard inscribed L.F.S. v POLISH FORCES, BOXING, 4th JUNE 1942, WINNER; vii) a miniature silver goblet, uninscribed; the lot also including a repro colour tinted studio portrait photograph of the A.B.A. & Middlesex Champion boxer Jim Hockley and a telegram mentioning correspondence with Randloph Turpin (9)
