A pottery jug and wash-bowl, probably American, circa 1895, large and impressive and lawn tennis themed, both items are hand painted in gold with images of tennis rackets, balls and a net, on a turquoise ground, the items are unmarked, apart from a gold painted pattern number, the jug measures 32 cm., the bowl, 38 cm diameter.
