Start a valuationAlfieri Maserati rare period photograph, a black & white period print removed from an album, 7 by 5in.; sold with a ticket for the 1931 Tunis GP in Carthage where his brother Ernesto won the 1500cc voiturette class in one of their Maserati cars (2) Alfieri was the acknowledged leader of his five Maserati siblings and responsible for their successful automotive company, which celebrates its centenary this year. He raced extensively before and after WWI, but having survived a serious racing accident in 1928, he died from subsequent complications during surgery in 1932. His memory lives on in the Maserati 'Alfieri' concept car launched this year.
