An Amsterdam 1928 Olympic Games Diploma issued to Dr. A. Porritt, Chef De mission of the New Zealand Olympic team, stylish Art Deco design with extensive gilding, fine condition, mounted, framed and glazed, 81 by 61.5 cm., 32 by 24 in.; sold together with Arthur's Porritt's Paris 1924 Olympic Games participant's medal; an audience with His Holiness Pope Paul VI during their. 64th I.O.C. (3) New Zealander Arthur Porritt won bronze in the famous 'Chariots of Fire' 100m at the Paris 1924 Olympic Games. He was captain of the 1928 New Zealand Olympic team but had to withdraw from competition due to injury. Later Lord Porritt, he served as New Zealand's IOC member between 1934 and 1967.
