Naylor of Halifax, inscribed LANCASHIRE, CHESHIRE, YORKSHIRE, NORTHERN RUGBY FOOTBALL UNION, CHALLENGE CUP, WINNERS, 1903-4, HALIFAX, T. NAYLOR, enamelling to obverse and inscription to reverse rubbed, on a later 15ct. gold chain Halifax claimed their second successive Challenge Cup with an 8-3 victory over Warrington. The final was played at The Willows, Salford, in front of 17,041 spectators. Provenance: By family descent.
