A gold and diamond gentleman's shamrock stick pin circa 1905-10, three good sized diamonds on the leaves and smaller diamonds on stem, in its original custom made red velvet and ivory silk lined leather case which bears the name Delandes, Chantilly This stick pin was presented to Lester Piggott's grandfather Ernie Piggott when he was riding in France between 1905 and 1910 and was based at Chantilly. On his return he was champion jumps jockey on three occasions and won three Grand Nationals in 1912, 1918 (wartime substitute at Gatwick) and 1919.
