A fascinating pocket note book compiled by a professional golfer in the early 1920s, in ink & pencil and with applied newspaper articles, this note book was discovered inside a trophy for a charity golf event in Nottingham (being offered as lot 146) with the names of Bonner, Williamson, Tedder & Vardon engraved on the cup, the note book contains training tips, information about club lengths, greenkeeping & mowing tips, rules etc., and clearly belonged to a professional and is wealth of information from a pro in the early 1920s, presumably belonged to one of the four associated with this trophy, but having said that Vardon and Williamson can be ruled out because the hand writing does not match that on other known documents
