An International Amateur Athletic Federation World Record Holder plaque presented to Sebastian Coe in 1981 but with details incorrectly inscribed, in the form of a gilt-bronze rectangular plaque, the reverse inscribed SEBASTIAN COE (G.B. & N.I.), WORLD RECORD HOLDER, 100m, 2.12.8, 11.07.1981, OSLO The World Record was of course in the 1,000 metres not 100m., and the fractional time is incomplete and should have read 2:12.18.
